A Poem Dedicated To DxH

Veins

Your laughing causes,
The strange hands that you wave.
Covered in nails enameled black,
And bulging nervous veins.

Your hair parted to the side;
Short and long,
Black and blonde,
Covering your eyes;
Their beauty compels the sighs.

Your coercing tone,
Filled with passion,
Hate and love,
Lies and trust.
Melting the sanity...
From beneath our feet.

:] He's amazing.
Tell me whatcha think.

Burning

Let's drown ourselves in the distraction and lies,
Hypnotize each other in our dance of loneliness.
Waiting for those two who stole our lives,
With adventure and passion wrapped up in one.
While we have nothing...
But the burning for it all.

Facade

The spikes of bright and dark lift up
No crevices peek through and meet
Your dimples light the sky and melt the ice
And the water drips

Strange and insane
For a timid ice princess
She tip toes softly; unlike herself
And the dial is turned left

Why is the smile so slyly convincing?
Her hands shake from the violent blows
The memory is fading, where is it going?
And she falls to your feet.

You twist the truth
Heating the shiny metal
Curiosity has gone
And you drop the chair.

Her facade exists nowhere
Confused beyond repair;
The fan still turns
And she lifts it now, pushing deeply.

Untitled

Magnetically your pull
A sticky roll of tape
"Were we wrong?"
Hearts shake
Hands beat
Pounding and sounding
Your melody, no longer
Slipping in
Getting out
"A mistake?"
Did we learn?
Because I'm pretty sure
All we did was break

Cloning

Is it aligned?
Is it planned,
Before we even get the chance?
This sticky mess we leave
Sitting on the countertops,
Will it ever dry?
I'm confused in the mind
Is it true?
Are we really running out of time?
So who makes the jump?
You or me?
I'm not one to leap
But you're never one to sweetly sing
Are we self cloning the images,
Of the brightly topped thoughts?
Switching places
Spinning legs
The colors hurt my eyes
Do we still have to try?
Tell me it's a joke
"I won't, I won't."
So, it's true
You won, I lost
And all is done.

Shivers

Sickening mascara sweeps the soft open and close
Deep trenches of sharp dark icicles pinch the soft
Your eyes blink with question
It's not close to ending

Rocks in the depths of the stomach
Nervous shivers clenching;
Showering your awkward spine

We hand you lines filled with chalk
Words brightly lit in the mind
Meaningful from your toes to tips
Hoping for signs of the light

But this is only the beginning.

Mixed.

It's not your face
It's not your melodies
Crackling like fire
Sizzling

I'm reading between the lines
Looking for the wrinkles
To make the upward play
Are you leaving?
"No, I'll stay."

Is it real or a fallacy?
This dice and knight's game
Blindingly
The ground shakes
Your face takes the change

But who said I'm good at reading these riddles?
They twist me
"Wait with me"
Endlessly, mysteriously
Your senses are mixed
Techno beats and dance scenes
Pressed together like the pages of a book

10 Bands I Couldn't Live Without

I've really been wanting to do this for a while. So, here it is.

10. Blaqk Audio
I know they're really, really new so the majority of my life has been without them in it anyways. But I love them. Every song is fantastic and even though the whole album is about sex and I'm young and it's not like I can relate: the lyrics are still beyond amazing. The way they're written and sang; it's just awesome. Jade's work is also great, I love the beats. I can't even pick a favorite off of Cexcells, because it's just that good. Although my favorite at the moment is "Again, Again, Again." But that pretty much changes daily.

9. Chevelle
They are great. GREAT! Every. Single. Song. Is. Amazing. I have an obsession with lyrics, and every song I listen to, I listen closely to the lyrics and disect them and break them down and find every possible meaning I can. And these ones, wow. Awesome! I love the style; I love all of it. My favorite is "Dos."

8. Descendents
I've actually just gotten into this band, but I'm already in love. I listen to them constantly. I wish I was older and had awesome stories to tell about concerts or ways I fell in love with this band and why they've affected my life. But, I'm only 14 so unfortunately I don't have these cool stories. Yet. I just have a lot of love for this really great band. "I'm The One" and "Suburban Home" are my favorites. "Sour Grapes" is awesome too, yet all their songs are so I'll just stop.

7. The Smiths
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
!!!!!!!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Okay, I'm done.
The Smiths are AWESOME. Simple, yet sweet lyrics. Morrissey's voice is great. The songs are depressing yet in a fun way. I don't even know what else to say. Except, they're amazing, and you need to fill your ears with their music right now. If you haven't heard them yet.
Always my favorite, "Panic."

6. Red Hot Chili Peppers
Yeah, they're old. Their new cd isn't that great. It's still good though, and their old stuff: Man, talk about good music. I love music I can just totally rock out/dance too. I remember when I was younger, my dad would play Mother's Milk and Freaky Styley and try to get me to say I liked it. Back then I was stubborn and just wanted to stick to my Spice Girls and Backstreet Boys. But then By The Way came out and we played it on road trips over and over and I LOVED it. Now I've seen them live once, at Coachella. And yeah, they've got it.
"Knock Me Down" is my ultimate favorite.

5. Green Day
Every album, every song=FANTASTIC. They inspired me to play guitar. They also inspired a lot of the feelings I have about life and the world and everything. American Idiot changed me, and the way I looked at things. I owe this band a lot, and I thank them. I've still yet to seem then in concert, but it will happen! I love Billie Joe Armstrong so much. His ideas are awesome. My love is timeless for Green Day.

4. Smashing Pumpkins
This is probably the most mellow music I like. Again, a band with great lyrics and melodies and everything. I have all their songs on my iPod, which is a lot, and I can just put them on and listen to them for hours. I can relate to a lot of their songs, and I love when I can do that with a band. "Dancing In The Moonlight" is my all time favorite, forever.

3. Rancid
Amazing, amazing, amazing. And even more amazing live! Which I am happy to say I've seen. Tim Armstrong's voice is indescribable. The lyrics, god, I can't even explain how much love I have for Rancid. They give me goosebumps, majorly, every single time I play their music. It's impossible for me to pick a favorite.

2. Kings Of Leon
It's hard to not put this band as my number one. But there is a band that tops them, and it is sort of hard for me to admit that. (But no, not really, because my number one band will always be umber one in my mind!) The Followills are geniuses. The lyrics are fucking PRIME. Caleb's voice is so unique. Their style is unique. They have great stage prescence. I've seen them twice in concert! And I plan on going many, many more times. I heard them on some music channel in 2006, "On Call." And I kept hearing that song played and it just gave me a lump in my throat, I loved it that much. Finally, I figured out who it was and got a few more of there songs. I fell in love with the song "Milk." Then I found out I was going to Coachella in 2007 and realized they would be playing. I was very excited, from what I heard of them, they were great. But when I heard them there... I could never go back. Every song is so great, I never get tired of them. I can listen to all of their songs in a row, and then again, and again. And still, every time I get chills, goosebumps, and the good kind of lump in my throat.

And... drum roll please!
My number one band I could not live without!

1. A Fire Inside
Otherwise known as AFI. OH MY GOD, my love for them is so immense I don't even know what to do. From their old stuff to their new stuff, it's indescribable. Davey's voice is so diverse, his lyrics are possibly some of the best lyrics ever. Jade is fucking god like. Hunter is just awesome. Adam is great. They're such nice guys too. They're awesome live. God, they just give me the chills. I don't even think I have words to describe how I feel about them. Sometimes I love them so much I feel like crying. I know, I know. That's sort of weird and obsessive. But I AM weird and obsessive. And this is an unbeliavbly, insanely, amazingly good band! If anything, this is my favorite band. My ultimate love. And it's a forever kind of thing. It's not just a phase. They've inspired me so much, and I thank them. I'm not just some fan girl who started liking them with Miss Murder. When I say I love them, I love them completely all the way fully. Their music has gotten me through some tough times. Each song means so much to me. I can't pick a favorite, I never will be.

My Attempts At Poetry

Prettily Promising:
You're the lump in my throat, sticking to my insides...never leaving, flying around my stomach like a butterfly. You're making me sick, sick, sick to look at myself...the self that makes you cringe with a smile. Your smile is so sweet on my tongue, I'll never let go, but what is mine to your eyes? Brightly ringing into my ears every night, your voice too deep, never stopping, I'll never let go. Go, go, go make the details cry into themselves, wrapping around my waist, your arms so tight. Promise me you won't ever let go, of me, me, Me keeping you up all night to send my bells of laughter into your ears. Is it pretty, pretty, Prettily promising I'll never let go, go, Go and promise me too, and be willing, willing, willing to miss and see and love.

Starving:
I'm choking, choking on your words. And thirsting, thirsting for the right things to say to get your lips to touch mine. It's not a simple dance, it's a complicated twirl of warmth and passion. Two become one and combine in a flash of color. Color like your eyes that I'm starving to have shine into to mine.

MORE TO BE ADDED LATER.

Do you feel alone right now?

"Oh, I dunno. I mean I'd like to believe I'm not but I just... I've just never seen any proof so I... I just don't debate it anymore, you know? It's like I could spend my whole life debating it over and over again, weighing the pros and cons and in the end I still wouldn't have any proof so I just... I just don't debate it anymore. It's absurd.

The search for God is absurd?

It is if everyone dies alone. "

-from Donnie Darko

Is it weird that I totally agree with this, in a way?
Most days I like how I have totally different views than all of my peers, and I sort of like being alone with my thoughts most of the time.
Because listening to idiotic, illiterate people all the time who are so shallow... It's just not me.
I feel like I have to pretend to care about all these superficial things.
But I don't need too, so I don't.
Instead, I'm by myself for now.
But I also know that there are other people who feel the same way I do, and hopefully I'll find people who think the same way I do soon enough.
It'd be nice.
Maybe I just grew up too soon, and stopped fitting in.

Are these lyrics not amazing?

Another girl has turned up dead, another teenage whore.
You know the cops they couldn’t give a shit but the nightly news is all over it
“She was just 16 never been out of Michigan.”
They say he tied her to his bed and lit the trailer park on fire.
“They found her body charred and wrecked in the ashes,”
says the on the ground reporter with Gucci sunglasses and his hair sprayed perfect,
his microphone so serious.
Homicides. Ruined lives.
Innocent bystanders caught in the crossfire.
You float on a black cloud with a camera crew to catch the bodies burning down.
You clip her picture from the paper you pin it on your wall.
At night she stares with supernatural eyes, bloodshot and red and wild and alive
“Do you think I’m sexy? Do you think I’m dirty?”
In your dreams she pulls up in a sports car with the windows boarded up.
She takes you to a nightclub
where everyone’s gunshot wounds are Technicolor broaches, their mouths dripping roaches.
Then you run back to your suburban home.
Homicides. Ruined Lives.
Innocent bystanders caught in the crossfire.
You float on a black cloud with a camera crew to catch the bodies burning down.
But you’re just another Headline girl.
In time we’ll forget your name little girl.
Oh in time little girl we’ll forget your face.
Because we’re moving on to another horrifying murder case.

from "Headlines" by Neon Blonde.

Beauty

People often say that 'beauty is in the eye of the beholder,' and I say
that the most liberating thing about beauty is realizing that you are
the beholder.  This empowers us to find beauty in places where others
have not dared to look, including inside ourselves. -Salma Hayek

My Addictions

This year rehab was the place to go. The new celebrity trend was to admit their addictions, or not. Some just went to rehab, or tried to say no no no. Some just didn't have the time.

But my addictions aren't life threatening, at least I don't think so. And there is no rehabilitation centers for these, even though sometimes, I really wish there was.

Diet Coke

Not regular Coke, and never, EVER Diet Pepsi. That's just nasty. I ony drink Diet Coke, and I drink a lot of it. Mmm, it's the nectar of the gods. I know I probably shouldn't drink a lot of this, because it's supposed to have really bad chemicals in it from the sweetener or something. But, I can't stop. It's so yummy. Haha. And it's not like I've actually TRIED to stop, but I'm pretty sure I wouldn't even be able to if I wanted to... Which I don't.

Myspace

God, I hate this stupidksdklgjdsklg website. Now this I HAVE tried to quit. I've deleted my profile, stopped for a few days (the most was a full week), but I always make a new one. And sometimes, I go through weird hating Myspace stages, well, an extreme version since I hate it all the time. And I'll delete hundreds of my friends, so I only have like, 100. But, I still go on and get so bored, and think I can find things to make me unbored there, but I never do. But I keep looking, and god, it's a depressing, annoying cycle. If you don't have one, which is now sort of considered weird, DON"T START.

Burt's Bees Lip Balm

I put this one like every five minutes. It's minty, and makes my lips feel cold, but it feels good. I know that sounds weird, but if you've ever tried this stuff, you probably know what I mean. I go through so many because it's just that good.

Chocolate Covered Pretzels

!!! If you put a bag in front of me, I won't let you have any and I will eat the all of them. In about five minutes. It's a bad, bad addiction. But at least it's a delicious one. :)

Andddddd drum roll!
My favorite addiciton...
BUZZNET!
Of course, right?
But really, as much as I get frustrated with it sometimes, there are so many things I love about it. It sounds like I'm talking about a pet dog. But oh well,
We love Buzznet, right?
:)

What are your harmless (but maybe not) addictions?

10 Bands I Bet You've Never Heard Of.

I'm weird, really weird. And I'm also obsessed with music. All of it. So, I keep this little green notebook in my laptop case, and whenever I find a great song, or a great new band, I write it down. I have about 50 pages full of band names. Most of them aren't even signed yet, but are AMAZING, and should be. Therefore, I'd like to share this wonderful music with all of you, because music is meant to be shared.

1. The Shot Heard Round The World
It's an indie folk band that I found on Myspace one day, randomly on someone's friend list. They're amazing. Really and truly. It's so peaceful and mellow and reminds me of a field full of pretty flowers. It makes me want to dress in a little white dress and frollick through flowers. Ha :)

2. Wild Sweet Orange
Mmm, the name pretty much sums up what their music sounds like. It's yummy.

3. Progress In Color

First of all, the two boys are severely beautiful. Second, their songs are an electronic, indie, genius experiment that pretty much will blow your mind. So, that pretty much means they're AYMAYZING.

4. The Radiance Effect
Ahh! I have this weird fetish with bands that have singers who look nothing like they sound. I just love it. And this is how this band is. The vocalists are cute in that weird way, and look like they would have deep, ugly voices. But they don't. Their voices are sweet pools of chocolate. Haha, I know, weird metaphor, but it's the first things that came to my mind. I recomment their song "Bring Me Down."

5. Scouting For Girls
Oh my gosh! I also have a fetish with British accents, like a ton of people, buttt, when they sing, it's like 10 times better. This band is extremely good. They're a fun and upbeat band from London that need to come from America. Listen to their song "She's So Lovely."

6. Flamboyant Bella
Yet another incredible band from the United Kingdom. It's like a mix of the Arctic Monkeys and Lily Allen. A wonderful combination. "Sex For Procreation" is their best song.

7. The Age Of Rockets
They have songs named after things in Harry Potter, and when I added them on Myspace, they sent me a personal message that was really nice. So basically, I instantly loved them. They have funny blogs and great music. Two deadly weapons. Haha.

8. The Sophomore Attempt
Such adorable guys! They sing in that breathy way that I really, really like. And the lyrics are great, which is always a plus. I tend to hate songs with fluff, meaningless words.

9. Action Action
Oh, my, god. Seriously. I strongly advise you to go fill your ears with their beautiful melodies right this second. "Paper Cliche" is my favorite.

10. Oh no! Oh my!
Okay, so, I'd never heard of the genre melodramatic popular song before. But then I kept finding bands who call themselves that. And even though I still don't really know what it means, it's definitely one of my favorite genres. I don't even know how to describe this band's music, but it's amazing.

The End!
And now, whenever you're looking for a new euphonic sounds to please your ear buds, just ask me. I mean, I do have that huge list waiting to be heard by others. :)

15 Random Songs That Deserve A Place In My Library

I've been tagged!
So, here it goes...

1. "Children Of December" -The Slip.
This brings back memories! Haha. I remember the first time I heard this song was about this time of last year. And I could not stop listening to it. It's nothing special, but god, I just LOVE it.

2. "Crush" -Noise Ratchet.
This is a remake of the song by Mandy Moore, and although I love her version of course, I love this one equally also. It's more my type of music, and also brings back memories, even they're only ones from last year. Haha.

3. "Don't Hate Me" -Rufio.
I think this song pretty much sums up a lot of things for me. And I think I'm the only one who would understand that.

4. "Naive" -The Kooks.
Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god. This is one of the most amazing songs ever. First, it got me into indie music, which is one of my ultimate loves. Second, it's one of those songs that is amazing every time you hear it. And last, it gives me goosebumps and/or the good kind of lump in my throat. Basically, it's just amazing. You should listen to it if you've never heard it.

5. "Plays Pretty For Baby" -Anthony Green.
Haha. Amazing lyrics and a great song. Enough said.

6. "Siren On The 101" -Over It.
Ahhh! I remember this being played a lot on my favorite channel on tv, Music Choice Alternative Station. So, I bought it and listen to it over and over and over and over...

7. "Sugar High (With Gina)" -Coyote Shivers.
From one of the best movies ever! Empire Records. This is one of my favorite scenes too.

8. "Bohemian Like You" -The Dandy Warhols.
Never gets old. And it just makes me want to get up and DANCE.

9. "Say Yes" -Elliott Smith.
He's pretty much a musical genius. I wish he was still alive!

10. "I Think We're Alone Now" -Tiffany.
Oh god, I love love love this! I was obsessed with this song during the time I was obsessed with Hayden Christensen. Haha! So, it basically reminds me of him. Good times. Haha.

11. "Any Way You Want It" -Journey.
"She loves to laugh, she loves to sing, she does everyting. She loves to move, she loves to grooveee."

12. "Stay" -Oingo Boingo.
It's incredible and awesome and wonderful and swell. Haha, I just don't want to use amazing again. That's what I use to describe everything, haha.

13. "Poison" -Alice Cooper.
Reminds me of this summer, haha. But I love this song.
"I wanna love you, but I better not touch. I wanna hold you but my senses tell me to stop. I wanna kiss you but I want it to much. I wanna taste you but your lips are venemous poisonnn."

14. "Don't Call Me Peanut" -Bayside.
I think this is such a sad and romantic song. It makes me sad. But I really, really love it.

15. "You're So Last Summer" -Taking Back Sunday.
And again, memories.

Things I hate to love

Do you love something that sort of makes you sound like a hypocrite? Do you have any secret hobbies or guilty pleasures that are embarrasing to the millionth power? Would you just die if anyone found out? Well, I can admit that I do. How about you? Don't be shy, no one can see you blush over the computer ;).

1. Hannah Montana

Oh, god. Kill me now. Okay, I know some people genuinely like her, but I really just don't understand. She's not that great of a singer, and her show irritates me so, so, so much. But I can't stop watching it, or secretly listening to her songs while I'm alone. Subliminal messages must be the answer.

2. Jonas Brothers

I don't find this as exruciating to admit. They're cute, and seem really down to Earth. But it's pop, and I normally can't stand pop. The lyrics are all fluff, with absolutely no depth. It's nice that they write the songs themselves, but it'd be even better if it was in a different genre.

3. Britney Spears' New Album: Blackout

Am I going crazy?! Her voice is so digitized and all the songs are basically about sex. And it's Britney Spears. I think this CD is such a desperate attempt to reclaim herself, but it just makes her look even worse. I'm sorry, Britney. I know it's been hard for you, really. But you should be doing something to fix your problems, rather than running stop lights with your children in your car.

4. The Hills

It is so completely fake and set up and dramatic and catty and everything I hate. But once I turn it on, I cannot look away. I root for Lauren and hate Heidi and Spencer, even though it's not even real. Reality TV is addicting, and I have become addicted. And I can't really say I mind either, since I love watching it.

5. McDonald's

It's salty, greasy, fattening, and clogs your arteries. Talk about gross? No, talk about yum. It has this strange way of making me feel really, really happy after I eat it. So, of course I love it. A classic Big Mac, some fries, and a diet coke is a perfect, unhealthy meal. Mmm mmm. :)

Greatest song titles with the word love

In the opinion of yours truly,
and not in any specific order.

1. "I Don't Wanna Live Without Your Love" by Chicago

This song is a classic, cheesy love song. And I love it. What girl doesn't want a guy to tell her that he doesn't want to live without her love? By singing it to her. Enough said.

2. "All You Need Is Love" by The Beatles

This song is amazing. It's one of my favorite Beatles songs ever. There's something so happy to it, that it just makes you smile. Or maybe that's with every Beatles song. But this one also gives me a nice nostalgic feeling. Not that I was alive anywhere near when this song was popular.

3. "Love" by The Smashing Pumpkins

I love this band! And this song! It's so unusual and different, and Billy Corgan is a god. I think that about covers it.

4. "Alive With The Glory Of Love" by Say Anything

Whenever I hear a song by Say Anything, I think of Pinocchio. I always think I'm crazy, until I remember their album name is "...is a real boy." But I still hear their songs and think of a little wooden puppet. Oh well, does't change my love for this extremely catchy song.

5. "Fell In Love With A Girl" by The White Stripes

They do not need to get a bass player, they really don't. They're a great band without one. This song makes me get up and dance every time I hear it. And, it inspires me to play the guitar as awesomely as it is played in this crazy good song!

6. "Some Kinda Love" by The Velvet Underground

If I were to write a song about love, this would be it. "The possibilites are endless." And, the little "la de da da da" makes me get goosebumps. It is impossible for me to express my love for this song.

7. "Love, Love, Love (Love, Love)" by As Tall As Lions

I actually hadn't heard of this band until a few months ago. And then I realized I had fallen in love with a band. Again. I can listen to this song over and over and over and it never gets old. It's one of those nice, quiet songs about love, of course, that makes me sad that I have no one to love. But that's okay, my love for this song makes up for it.

8. "Where Is The Love?" by Black Eyed Peas

I remember when this song first came out, and I knew all the words and put it on repeat for hours. It came on the radio earlier this week, and I realized I still know the words. It's just one of those songs that sticks with you. Especially when you're like me, and wonder every single day where all the love in this world has gone.

9. "Love Her Madly" by The Doors

So old, yet so timeless. Don't you just need it so badly? This song will never walk out of my heart.
Haha, I'm bad at making jokes, I know :P.

10. "This Love" by Maroon 5

I don't actually like this song anymore, because it got so overplayed when it first came out. But I remember all of my friends singing this and naming it their favorite song. We would play it for hours and sing it and make dances up for it. And besides, we were kinda in love with Adam Levine :).

Have you ever realized that the majority of Celine Dion songs have the word "love" in them? HA! And not one of them is on here. You may ask why, and my answer is this: This list is in my opinion, and really, in my opinion, Celine Dion sucks. Oh, and the famous Elton John, "Can You Feel The Love Tonight?" is not on my list either. Because he's horrible.

But hey, that's just me.
What are YOUR favorite "love" songs? ♥

My biggest pet peeves

5. Teachers who put you on the spot.

Have you ever been innocently sitting in class, pretending to pay attention, when your teacher says your name, and then asks you a really stupid question? Like, say you’re reading a book and are having a “class discussion” on it [which is actually just the teacher talking about the book, thinking you’re genuinely interested. You’re not, at all]. So, then, out of nowhere, they call your name. “Now, how do you feel about this?” What is this, a therapy session?

4. When people talk to me like I’m stupid.

It really pisses me off when I’ll be talking to someone, not even a year older than me, and they get that tone of voice like they just know so much better. First of all, this is impossible to know, since they most likely have no idea about me. But, who doesn’t judge these days? Second, I'm probably smarter anyways. And lastly, just don't talk to me like I'm a baby, okay? Thanks.

3. People who talk with a bubble in their throat, and don’t do anything about it.

Yes, I know, this is one of Jessica Simpson’s pet peeves. She said this on 'Newlyweds', but it really is annoying! I always want to say something to the person, because really, how can you not notice it? It feels uncomfortable and sounds funny. But hey, Jessica Simpson was right about something.

2. Getting your order wrong at a restaurant/fast-food place.

This is so irritating. It’s really not that hard to get it right, plus, I’m paying you for it. I would expect to get my money’s worth. But I guess that’s what you get for eating out and not cooking for yourself.

1. When people think they OWN music.

I hate when someone says: Do not steal my song. Okay, that’s ridiculous. Music is universal, it’s meant to be shared. Musicians make music so anyone can listen to it and enjoy it. You can’t claim you heard a song first, or that it’s yours. It’s not. Anyone can listen to any song, and if they happen to like a song you like, big deal. They aren’t copying you.

What are YOUR pet peeves?
